According to the official news agency IP Paraguay, the latest deaths, only four over the weekend, have occurred in the department Central neighborhood, close to Asunción, where there is the highest rate of infection of this disease.
Symptoms of dengue are high fever, headache, vomiting, rash and can be deadly in its hemorrhagic. The high temperatures and constant rain favor the proliferation of the Aedes aegypti scabies mosquito, which transmits the dengue breeds in stagnant water environments.
In 2012, Paraguay 70 people have died from dengue fever in a total of 30,823 cases of infection, numbers that exceed the 62 deaths in 2011, 17 deaths scabies and 9,040 infections in 2007 and 15 deaths scabies and 13,559 infections in 2010. Prior to 2007, there were ever recorded deaths from dengue.
