ICC announced yesterday that three other cases of the virus have been found in Porthmadog bringing the total to 33. Has 29 of the cases have been directly linked Eifionnydd labyrinthitis School in Porthmadog.
The virus is very contagious and can cause complications including pneumonia, labyrinthitis meningitis and encephalitis especially among children under five, those with compromised immune systems and children with poor diet. It can be fatal in rare cases.
